today i learned that the best type of wedding to have seems to be the rwandan type. i heard it on npr. a husband needs to engage in a battle of wits to prove to the potential bride's family that he is clever and worthy enough for their daughter. i feel like this would be an excellent nuptial compliment to the popularity of trivia nights and knitting in brooklyn. it's aggressive. it's witty. it's rwandan.
in other news, i missed bob dylan and neil diamond concerts tonight. instead i ate an overpriced mushroom salad at alchemy. park slope can breathe easy. the last possible block of 5th avenue [northbound] has been gentrified. it's solid gentry to flatbush.
